Mujtaba Rizvi is an internationally recognised artist, curator, and creative professional. He is from Srinagar Kashmir, where he was based until October 2019, and then had to migrate out of the city due to intense lockdown imposed on Kashmir post abrogation on Article 370. His involvement with the arts as an artist has been from quite an early age, with his first public art show at the age of 15. Ever since his works have been shown in several solo and group shows around the world. He uses diverse forms of media including installations, video, and digital – but painting remains central to his practice. His works have often been described as ‘visually bold and conceptually challenging. He has also formally established an international contemporary art foundation, as the Founder and Managing Director.
